3 in 1 pendant

I've always been keen on things that serve more than one purposes.Make up products, clothes, shoes, bags that can be very flexible to use in more than one ways.So these past few days, while I was making probably the last item for my new Etsy listing (I always say that this is the last one but suddenly a new idea comes up and I change my mind!) I was looking for ways to make a piece of jewelry that would do just that, give the wearer more than one options.
And in the process of creating this piece of jewelry this 3 in 1 idea came along. It can be worn in 3 different ways depending on how extravagant you wish to be. It is made of nickel silver that has been cut and wrought, silver plated wire and pieces of fake black suede cord.

1st option:  It can be a really impressive statement jewelry that  would match an evening dress for example .
The total length of the eight discs is appr. 23 cm (9,05 in).

2nd option:Or it could  be worn in a simpler way just by removing the last big disc and by putting the edge of the small discs chain into the silver plated wire. The total length of the seven small discs put together this way is appr. 9 cm (3,54 in).

3rd option:And last but not least you can only put the big disc (which is decorated with fake black  suede cord= 5 cm-1,96in diameter) and make it more minimal.

Of course you can use as many discs as you want and have it exactly the way you like it.So the 3 in 1 pendant is just a figure of speech..The choice is yours!!
Just use your vivid imagination...

Keep it simple in white too

Being  a fan of minimalism in fashion and styling, as I have already said in a previous post,I couldn't not have a different taste in wedding dresses either.Surfing through the internet one could find lots of wedding gowns that are really impressive not because they are  decorated with lace, pearls, beads or bows but because they attract your attention just because they are way too plain.
Well, to tell you the truth I've noticed that the majority of dresses are not the minimal kind. Maybe it has to do with the fact that most women prefer to wear something really extravagant on their wedding day. That means that if a girl has similar taste with me she has to try harder than the rest.
Nevertheless, I've seen some very elegant wedding gowns that match my style. So if you love simple things every day of the year like me why not go minimal on THE day?

P.S. All photos are taken from my board ''Wedding ideas'' on Pinterest. Have a look for more details.

Keep it simple

I have always been a fan of minimal fashion.Maybe it had to do with the fact that clothes with simple, clear lines could give you more options as far as styling is concerned. What a better way to mix and match accessories than wearing an outfit than can be used as a white (or any other color) canvas? I mean when for example you feel like wearing a statement, impressive piece of jewelry can you imagine how great it would look on a simple, yet elegant dress? And if you want to have a flashy hairdo or a provocative make up how can you show it off ? And what about other accessories such as fancy scarves, bags or clutches? It all comes to one answer: MINIMAL is the word and the trend for that matter.
Fortunately, these past couple of decades more and more fashion designers are minimal lovers. Probably it's because the ''less is more'' attitude has prevailed in fashion, design, art and decoration or because it is more suitable to urban, contemporary life. Who knows...
I would like to introduce you to two of my favorite designers that are known for their simple but very interesting lines. They are both Greek but lately they are starting to pursue an international career which is a recognition to their amazing work.Just have a look...

New collection

As a sequel to my previous post I would like to add my own collection of jewelry in my most favorite color, electric blue.Yeap,I'm a girl who likes to keep her promises...The jewelry is  brand new and it has not been listed on my Etsy profile yet.

The first one is a one of a kind collar pendant made of nickel silver, electric blue (what else?) beads and light blue leather suede cord.It is part of a new line I'm going to launch that will be more minimal and will have a kind of ancient greek style influence.

The second one is a unique pair of earrings that  are in the shape of a heart, they are made of  nickel silver and electric blue beads.

The third one is a one of  a kind ring made of nickel silver, a glass leaf in electric blue and three pearl beads in light blue, grey and white.
Just have a look and tell me what you think!
