New earrings

LET THERE BE COLOR ONCE MORE!!

As I have mentioned in a previous post it's been a rather productive period for me in the area of crafting.Maybe this had to do with the fact that I am a brand new blogger and I'm still thrilled with the idea of publishing new items and finding new topics to write about.I hope and pray I will have the same urge to create new stuff as time goes by.Blogging can be an extra motive for inspiration and creativity after all!

So I have been pretty busy these past couple of weeks and I came up with many interesting ideas that came out of the blue.Well, sometimes not exactly out of the blue but a bit of windowshopping at jewelry stores downtown did help a lot.Of course, a piece of jewelry you admire is not to be copied but it should be just a starting point from which you create something totally different and unique.Otherwise, in my humble opinion, you miss all the fun of creating...

Here's a new pair of earrings I have made that will soon be featured on my Etsy profile along with other items.
It is made of  nickel silver that has been wrought, stainless steel wire and multi-colored pearl beads.
Have a look and tell me what you thing about it!

Hippie look!!

What a better way to celebrate spring than wear all those vibrant colors of the hippies?
Doesn't your mood get higher and higher when you see those clothes in practically each and every shade of color?
Florals, stripes, geometric patterns you name it it is THERE,in the world of hippies.
Curly, slick or wavy hair give this impression of freedom and carefree attitude and lots of jewelry with beads, feathers, peace signs and cords add a touch of natural and sophisticated look at the same time.
And what an inspiration  this particular era  is for jewelry makers, fashion designers and hairstylists!!
So I could not be an exception either. Here's a new cuff bracelet I just made that is influenced by flower children.Hope you like it!

And here are some pictures I saw on Pinterest that really made me wanna travel back in time and be part of this wonderful, shiny, colorful period of time.
If you're going to San Francisco,
be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...
If you come to San Francisco,
Summertime will be a love-in there.
